Encounter Homeschoolers is seeking to fill five part-time facilitator positions for the 2024-2025 program year.
These positions will commence in mid-August and conclude in mid-June, with an average commitment of 5 hours per week. The role will involve participating in 30 Co-op Fridays and a parent orientation meeting.
Hours will typically be from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays, with additional time allocated for cleanup and lesson planning. Some hours may involve volunteer work for planning and preparation.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong connection to their faith and a passion to incorporate it into their teaching. While a background in education is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

- Facilitate group-based learning and social interactions
- Ensure punctuality by arriving 30 minutes early
- Assist in post-Co-op cleanup tasks, including vacuuming, surface cleaning, and organizing supplies
- Dedicate volunteer (unpaid) time for preparation duties
- Lead a class of up to 25 students
- Commence each day with devotions, singing, and prayer time
- Instruct various subjects throughout the morning (excluding PE), incorporating a Christian viewpoint
- Utilize creativity to design smaller lessons and activities within a structured framework
- Collaborate with the director to introduce unique learning opportunities, including optional-style lessons and topical activities
- Engage with volunteers and parents to support the learning environment
- Facilitate group-based learning and social activities
- Ensure punctuality by arriving 30 minutes early
- Assist in post-Co-op cleanup duties, such as vacuuming and organizing supplies
- Dedicate some volunteer (unpaid) time for preparation tasks
- Teach a class of up to 30 students
- Begin each morning with devotions, worship, and prayer time
- Organize option-style or topical activities for two blocks every Friday, each lasting one hour
- Facilitate group-based learning and social interaction
- Incorporate Bible lessons periodically throughout the year
- Offer diverse opportunities for exploration, including music, art, cooking, science experiments, and book studies
- Ensure punctuality by arriving 30 minutes early
- Assist in post-Co-op cleanup tasks, including vacuuming and organizing supplies for return to the resource room
- Dedicate some volunteer (unpaid) time to preparation tasks
- Plan and teach each grade grouping throughout the morning, starting with the first class at 9:15 AM
- Encourage outdoor activities, weather permitting
- Utilize the East Auditorium for indoor activities during the winter months
- Allocate 30-minute blocks for all grades, except Grades 7-12, which will have 45-minute blocks
- Incorporate a diverse range of games, skills, and movement exercises
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans
- Create small units to explore various topics each month
